For makers and shops thinking of a review request
We accept products on loan for review. But there are conditions you must read first. We take the job only if you can accept them.
Condition 1: We decide the rating
Receiving a product or payment never changes a rating or a ranking. We write what wasn't good, too. We'll let you check the draft beforehand, but we decline any rewrite other than fixing a factual error.
Condition 2: We always say we received it
The article states "the maker provided this product," and that page carries an ad label. Since October 2023, hiding the fact that something is an ad (stealth marketing) violates Japan's Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations. We can't run a piece that hides it from readers.
Condition 3: Checking takes time
Articles here are currently written from the maker's official specs and actual selling prices. Data I measured by hitting the club myself (the average and spread over 10 shots each) is not published yet. I'll add it product by product as I measure, and when I do, the article will give the date, place and conditions. If we take your request, please allow 2–4 weeks for checking and writing.
Condition 4: A small difference is written as small
If the official numbers show a small difference from the previous model, I write "the difference is small." I don't hide numbers that are inconvenient.
Condition 5: What we can't accept
We can't accept requests for wording that guarantees distance or a better score, content that disparages another maker's product, comparisons without evidence, or articles whose content is dictated.
If you've found an error in an article
If you find a wrong number or outdated information, please tell us. We'll check it and correct it.
When we correct something, we don't quietly rewrite the article. We leave the date of the correction and what was wrong in the text (How we rank). Your name isn't shown unless you ask for it.
Questions from readers
Questions like "I'm stuck between these two" or "which one fits my head speed?" are welcome. But I can only answer as far as the numbers can say.
The site owner is not a coach. I can't give swing lessons or promise a lower score. What I can write is the official numbers and how to read them.
Requests for advertising and sponsored articles
We don't currently accept sponsored articles (articles with dictated content). That would take away my ability to decide rankings and ratings myself. We welcome invitations to affiliate programs; just let us know.
