Here's where the photos on this site come from, and why we may use them.

Our promises about photos
- We don't use maker product photos. We never reuse images from official sites or catalogs.
- The photos shown are not the product itself. They set the mood. Each page says "Image for illustration."
- When I get the actual product and shoot it, I say so under the photo. A photo labeled "Photo taken by the site owner" shows a product I really have in hand.
- In the future we may use official images supplied by advertisers, within the terms of the partnership. In that case we'll name the source.
About the Unsplash License
Photos on Unsplash can be used free of charge, commercial or not, and credit is not required (it is encouraged). However, selling the photos as they are, or building a service that competes with Unsplash, is prohibited. This site's use stays within those terms.
