Voice Caddie Laser FIT2A 130g compact laser rangefinder. How it differs from the original Laser FIT, and how it compares with the Bushnell A1

Updated: Oct 12, 2026Contains affiliate links

Voice Caddie's Laser FIT2 is a compact laser rangefinder whose pre-orders started on May 28, 2026. 130g and ¥37,400 (incl. tax). I looked at both colors in a shop. "LASER FIT" is printed on the side of the body. It's light and cheap, and it can even give the distance from ball to pin. My reaction was that they'd packed this much in at ¥37,400. But waterproofing and competition use aren't clear even after reading the spec table. That's what concerned me most. I'll organize it with numbers from the official spec table and press release.

A rangefinder suits any golfer. The number that decides your club shows up in your hand, so you spend less time wavering on each shot. The Voice Caddie Laser FIT2 in particular is very good. It has "Ball to Pin," which gives the distance from ball to pin, and it's light and affordable. If you're undecided, it's a rangefinder you can buy.

Bottom line: how I'd choose

It suits golfers who want a light, cheap laser, or want to check a playing partner's ball position from the cart. There's "Ball to Pin," which gives the distance from ball to pin if you measure the ball and then the pin. If you mostly play on fair-weather days, this is very good.
Waterproofing is listed as "splash resistant," and competition use isn't mentioned in the spec table.

The feature names are katakana and English and confusing, so here's what each one does.

What's new on the FIT2 is that the ring at the front can be swapped with a separately sold color kit. I couldn't confirm the price of the color kit on the official page.

Range, magnification and main features are the same. The FIT2 is about 14g heavier and supports ring swapping. That's the whole difference. Changing colors with the ring is a pleasure only the FIT2 has.

The gap is ¥11,000. The Laser FIT2 is cheaper and can give the distance from ball to pin. The A1 is clear on waterproofing and competition use, and it tells you with a vibration when it locks the pin. For casual rounds, the Laser FIT2; if you assume rain and competition, the A1. That's where I'd draw the line. If you mostly play in fair weather, the Laser FIT2 is the answer. It's ¥11,000 cheaper and 9g lighter (the difference is the author's calculation). Also see how Bushnell's four models differ.

About the writer and sources

Written by a gear nerd who studies golf equipment, averages a 72, and plays about 150 rounds a year.

FAQ

What are the Laser FIT2's weight and price?

It weighs 130g and costs ¥37,400 (incl. tax). Size is 88 x 37 x 57mm, and it charges over USB-C.

How does the Laser FIT2 differ from the original Laser FIT?

Range (5 to 800 yards), magnification (6x) and main features such as Ball to Pin and Pin Tracer are the same. The FIT2 lets you swap the ring at the front with a separately sold color kit, and weight goes from about 116g to 130g.

Can I use the Laser FIT2 in the rain?

Think light rain at most. The official spec table says "splash resistant" and has no IPX rating. It's safer to avoid using it continuously in heavy rain.

Can the Laser FIT2 be used in competition?

I don't know. The official spec table lists a slope correction on/off switch but doesn't mention competition use. I recommend checking the rules of the event you enter and asking the maker.
