Bottom line: how I'd choose

The 7-iron is 29° on the M-15, 30° on the MX FORGED, 32° on the M-13 and 34° on the S-1 and S-3. The further left, the more distance and forgiveness; the further right, the more workability.
If you can't choose between the S-1 and S-3, I'd point you to the S-3 first. Loft and price are the same. On top of that, the S-3 keeps a little cavity for added resistance to mishits. The muscle-back S-1 is for golfers confident of striking the center.

The M-15 and S-1 differ by 5° in 7-iron loft. 5° is about one full club. Even under the same "Mizuno Pro 7-iron", the M-15's 7-iron is close to the S-1's 6-iron.

The M-13 and M-15 use a "club-by-club design" that changes construction and material by club. The long irons are built to resist mishits, the short irons for feel and workability.

The S-1 and S-3 have the same loft in every club (27° for the 5-iron to 46° for the PW) and the same set price of ¥151,800. The difference is that the S-1 is a muscle back and the S-3 is a half cavity that keeps a little cavity.

The MX FORGED is a 5-club set (6-iron to PW), so don't compare its price directly with the 6-club Mizuno Pro sets. Per club, the MX FORGED is ¥24,200 and the 6-club Mizuno Pro sets are ¥25,300 to ¥27,500.

On the MX FORGED, compared with the earlier model, the short irons have 1° more loft and the price is ¥5,500 lower. It's an example showing newer doesn't always mean pricier or stronger-lofted.

Which Mizuno Pro irons are the most forgiving?

The M-15 (29°, hollow construction), with the strongest 7-iron loft, leans toward distance and forgiveness. The M-13 (32°) is in the middle, and the S-3 and S-1 (34°, forged soft iron) lean toward workability and feel.

What's the difference between the Mizuno Pro S-1 and S-3?
