On Sep 12, 2026, Srixon's irons were renewed. Annoyingly, the names didn't change. The new ZXi5 and ZXi7 have the same names as the 2024 versions, and even the same lofts, so when you compare used or previous models, release year is the only way to tell them apart.

Bottom line: how I'd choose
If you're hunting for a previous model, always check the release year. The new and old ZXi5 and ZXi7 have the same lofts and differ by about ¥20,000. If you just want to keep your distance steps, I think the 2024 version is enough.
The 7-iron is 28° on the XXIO 14 and Prime, 28.5° on the ZXiR and XXIO 14+, 31° on the ZXi5, 32° on the ZXi7 and 33° on the Z-FORGED II. If you can't choose between the ZXi5 and ZXi7, look at the differences in bounce angle, length and weight before loft.
For the ZXiR and XXIO 14+, which share 28.5°, the ZXiR for sharper looks and the XXIO 14+ for lightness and forgiveness.

| Apr 15, 2023 | Forged soft-iron muscle-back | 33° | 46° | 6-club set (5-iron to PW), from ¥138,600 |
The ZXi5 and ZXi7 have the same names as the previous models released in November 2024. The lofts are the same in every club, but the six-club steel set rose from ¥151,800 to ¥171,600 for the ZXi5, and from ¥145,200 to ¥171,600 for the ZXi7. When you compare used or previous models, always check the release year. There's also a detailed ZXi5 page.
The hollow ZXi4 from the 2024 lineup is gone, replaced by the ZXiR. The 7-iron is 28.5°, the same as the ZXi4.
The Srixon ZXiR and XXIO 14+ share a 28.5° 7-iron. The choice is the ZXiR for sharper looks and the XXIO 14+ for lightness and forgiveness. The 7-iron total weight is 366 g for the XXIO 14 (graphite R) and 383 g for the 14+ (graphite S).
The XXIO Prime comes as a 4-club set that includes only the 7-iron and below. The 5- and 6-irons are sold singly (¥39,600 for 1 club).
Before you buy last year's model: how it differs from the one before
| Current | Previous model | Difference in numbers |
|---|---|---|
| ZXi5 (2026) | ZXi5 (Nov 2024) | Same loft in every club. Steel 6-club set ¥151,800 → ¥171,600 |
| ZXi7 (2026) | ZXi7 (Nov 2024) | Same loft in every club. 6-club set ¥145,200 → ¥171,600. 7-iron bounce angle 20° → 19.5° |
| ZXiR | ZXi4 (2024, hollow) | The 28.5° 7-iron is the same. Construction changes from hollow to precision cast |
| XXIO 14 Irons | XXIO 13 Irons | Same loft in every club (28° for the 7-iron). 7-iron total weight 364 g → 366 g |
Dunlop clearly tends to change the insides and the price without changing the loft. The ZXi5, ZXi7 and XXIO 14 irons all have the same loft in every club as the previous model. If you don't want to change your distance steps, a used previous model gives you the same feel for club numbers.
FAQ
How do I tell the 2024 and 2026 ZXi5 apart?
The lofts are the same in every club, so loft won't tell you. Check the release year on the sales page. The 2026 version went on sale Sep 12, 2026, with a six-club steel set at ¥171,600 from the maker (¥151,800 for the 2024 version).
