Bottom line

The FULL TOE SP is a limited wedge with a tall toe and grooves out to the edge of the face. It comes in just four lofts, 54° to 60°, and Callaway says it is made for players who open the face. The price gap is +JPY 1,100 against the OPUS SP and −JPY 5,500 against the OPUS SP+. You can buy it only at the official online store, CALLAWAY SELECTED PARTNER STORE shops and Callaway's own stores, so once you pick a loft and bounce, check the pre-order early.
Numbers come from Callaway Japan's product page and news (re-read on Nov 7, 2026). I worked out the price gaps and totals myself. I will add a follow-up after release.

Source: the product page for the Callaway Japan FULL TOE SP wedge (checked Nov 7, 2026). Length is 35.375 or 35.125 inches and weight is about 455 g or 458 g (standard N.S.PRO 950GH neo, S flex), with a D3 swing weight. There is no left-handed model.

The head has a forged soft-iron face and a cast body, in a chrome finish. The grooves are 17V grooves, and the area without grooves carries a mesh-like deep-facer laser texture. Callaway says the setup is the same as the OPUS SP wedge.

Bounce is 10° on the 54° and 56°, and 8° on the 58° and 60°. For high lob shots, the 60° with 8° of bounce becomes an option.

Why grooves out to the toe? Reading the official explanation

The product page says that on greenside approaches the ball often meets the face nearer the toe than the center, and that opening the face moves the contact point toward the toe. So the top of the toe is made larger, so that spin still comes even when contact is off-center.

The Spin Pocket inside the head is a space between the face and the sole. Callaway says the weight saved there is moved to the upper part of the face, raising the center of gravity so spin comes more easily. That is the maker's explanation; the effect is something to check after release.

The J grind is trimmed at a constant narrow width from the toe to just before the heel. Near the heel the width grows and wraps around toward the leading edge. Callaway says it makes the face easy to open while the bounce still works in bunkers and similar shots.

How is it different from the OPUS SP and X FORGED? Price and build side by side

Source: the product pages of each Callaway Japan wedge (checked Nov 7, 2026). The OPUS SP+ and X FORGED are limited models, sold through the official online store and similar outlets. "Combinations" counts loft-and-grind pairs; I counted them myself. Price gaps are my own sums (for example, 31,900 − 30,800 = 1,100). The CB 12 grind is blank because the product page does not list one.

By price, the FULL TOE SP sits JPY 1,100 above the OPUS SP and JPY 2,200 below the X FORGED. Against the OPUS SP+ the gap is JPY 5,500.

The number of choices differs too. The OPUS SP has 22 loft-and-grind combinations; the FULL TOE SP has 4. You waste less time deciding, but you cannot go below 54°. Callaway says the line starts at 54° because the club suits golfers who hit a lot of high approach shots.

Compared with the OPUS SP, Callaway says the head itself is larger, and the shape gives more confidence even when you set it square.

Where can I buy it? How to get a limited model

To get 2 clubs: 31,900 × 2 = JPY 63,800; to get all 4 clubs: JPY 127,600. Start with 1 club, picking a loft that does not overlap with your current wedges.

How I choose (three criteria)

Bottom line: a candidate for a bunker-and-lob club if you often open the face. Decide on one loft first and check availability while pre-orders remain.
