Women's Driver Rankings 2026My three picks from total weight, loft, length and price

Updated: Oct 7, 2026Contains affiliate links

Among women's drivers, my No. 1 is the XXIO 14 Ladies. No. 2 is the Bridgestone B-LD and No. 3 the PING G LE 4.
Lining up the specs of nine, the first number that caught my eye was 17g.
All of them are the same "L" flex. Yet the lightest is 255g and the heaviest 272g. The shaft letter "L" has no standard shared across makers.
I'm a gear nerd who normally studies only how clubs are built, with an average score of 72 and a best of 68. I ranked them using only each maker's Japan official specs. If you're struggling with distance or launch, you'll know which numbers to look at when choosing.

The Gear Nerd's Pick

No. 1: Dunlop XXIO 14 Ladies Driver (¥101,200) Four lofts and three flexes. The widest choice of the nine. With a driver, unless you can find the loft and weight that match your head speed, even a great head won't launch the ball. The XXIO is light at 259g in L, and it officially gives a head-speed guide for each flex (L up to 35 m/s, A up to 37 m/s, R up to 39 m/s). Before you buy, you can decide which one is yours by the numbers. That's why I made it No. 1.

Bottom line

First, look at the weight of your current driver. A kitchen scale will do.
From there, do you want lighter, or about the same? For lightness, the B-LD (255g). For range of choice, the XXIO (259g). To adjust later, the G LE 4 (about 262g).
And if you can't get the ball up, choose the higher loft. If you can't decide between 12.5° and 13.5°, take 13.5°.
If your current club launches high and flies straight, you needn't replace it.

Ranked by weight, loft, length, price and range of choice

I looked at five points.

The source is each maker's Japan official spec table. I searched but couldn't find third-party measurements of Japan-spec women's models. That's why there are no distance or ball speed columns.

No. 1 XXIO 14 Ladies, No. 2 B-LD, No. 3 G LE 4

The nine, in order of lightest total weight. Weights are for L flex.

I found no third-party measurements of Japan-spec women's models, so the ranking uses official specs only. ◎ is the best value of the nine. Length is measured differently by each maker; ONOFF gives its own standard (44.0 in. by the 60-degree method). The XXIO's 10.5° is limited to fitting shops, and 11.5° is the standard model in R flex. Callaway's same official page also lists 12.5°. TaylorMade's figure is provisional from its official release. Honma's price was checked at its direct online shop on Sep 19.

Why This Order

This table scrolls sidewaysSwipe right →
RankModelWhy I ranked it here
No. 1Dunlop XXIO 14 Ladies4 lofts and 3 flexes is the widest of the 9 models. It's light at 259g in L, and the head-speed guide for each flex is official. It costs ¥35,200 more than the B-LD, yet I put it at No. 1 because you can pick the right 1 club by the numbers.
No. 2Bridgestone B-LD255g, 43.5 in., ¥66,000. It takes No. 1 of the 9 on 3 counts: lightness, shortness and price. It falls short of No. 1 because the standard choices are only 13.5° in L and 11.5° in A, leaving little room if it doesn't fit.
No. 3PING G LE 4You can move it from 10° to 13° after you buy. For adjustment range it's the best of the 3. I put it at No. 3 because at 45 in. it's the longest of the 9, the standard loft is a smallish 11.5°, and the price is high at ¥107,800.

The reasons are written only from the numbers in this article and the official specs. This is not a sales ranking.

With a driver, the first question is whether you can find the loft and weight that fit you. I looked at range of choice and lightness. Change the criteria and the order changes. Reread it by whichever point you look at first.

No. 1 XXIO 14 Ladies: the widest range to find a club that fits

The XXIO 14 Ladies stands out for its range of choice. Four lofts from 10.5° to 13.5°. Two shafts, with three flexes: A, L and R. Dunlop says it's the first XXIO Ladies to offer two standard shafts.

The weight is good too.
It's light: 259g in L and 261g in A. The shaft is 35g in L (as fitted to the club). And the head-speed guide is official: L up to 35 m/s, A up to 37 m/s, R up to 39 m/s. See your own number on a range monitor and the choice is made.

A word on construction. The face material is a new titanium called VR-Titanium. Dunlop says, from its own measurements, that the area that flies well is about twice as wide at the center of the face as before. The Ladies has a dedicated design with a thinner heel side. I read that as aimed at reducing the drop in distance on heel-side strikes.

Two weak points.
One is price. At ¥101,200, it is ¥35,200 more than the B-LD.
The other is adjustability. I couldn't find any mention on the Ladies product page of a way to change loft later. The loft you choose when you buy is the answer.

No. 2 B-LD: 255g and 43.5 in. Light and short

The B-LD is the lightest and shortest of the 9. 255g in L and 43.5 in. It's also the cheapest at ¥66,000. It ranks No. 1 across 3 points of view.

Short, so it's easy to hit. At 43.5 in., it is 1.5 in. (about 3.8cm) shorter than the 45 in. G LE 4 in third place. For golfers who want to make contact before they chase distance, that shortness helps. The L loft of 13.5° is also on the launch-it-higher side.

Bridgestone says it made the heel heavier so the ball draws more easily. It's built for golfers troubled by a ball that goes right.

The reason it missed No. 1 is range of choice. L comes only in 13.5° and A only in 11.5° as standard, and the opposite combination is a custom order. The head is also 440cm³, slightly smaller than the other eight. The release date wasn't on the official page.

No. 3 G LE 4: loft can be moved after you buy

The G LE 4 lets you change loft later. The standard is 11.5°. The hosel adjusts by ±1° and ±1.5°, so you can use 10° to 13°. If it won't launch, go to 13°; if it launches too high, go back. Being able to try after you buy is a strength the two above lack.

Released Apr 9, 2026. PING says it made the crown carbon for the first time in the series and moved the freed weight to the back of the head. The number for resistance to twisting on off-center hits (moment of inertia) is reportedly 15% higher than the previous model (PING's own figures).

Here's where it's weak. The length is 45 in., the longest of the nine.
A longer club moves the head faster but is harder to hit square. The standard loft is also 11.5°, and the most you can add is 13°. For golfers around 30 m/s head speed who can't get the ball up, the two above, which offer 13.5°, are the safer bet.

The six that missed the top three, and who doesn't need to buy

Here are the reasons for leaving the others out, one line each.

Who needn't replace their driver

Which part of the spec table to look at first is gathered in How to read specs.

How much does your driver weigh right now?

FAQ

What's the difference between L and A flex on a women's driver?

L is the lighter, softer flex. On the XXIO 14 Ladies, the official guide is L up to 35 m/s head speed, A up to 37 m/s and R up to 39 m/s. But the flex letters have no shared standard across makers, and even the same L ranged from 255g to 272g in total weight.

What loft is best on a women's driver?

If you struggle to launch the ball, choose the higher loft. Among these nine, 11.5° to 13.5° was the core range. If you can't decide between 12.5° and 13.5°, take 13.5°. Some models, like the PING G LE 4, can be adjusted to 10 to 13° after you buy.

Which is the lightest women's driver?

Among these nine, the Bridgestone B-LD at 255g (L, 13.5°) had the lightest figure. Next is the Honma T//WORLD for the Queen at about 256g, then the XXIO 14 Ladies at 259g (checked on each maker's official site on Oct 7, 2026).

Why aren't Mizuno and Majesty included?

Because I couldn't confirm their spec tables on the official sites. I rank only models whose numbers I could verify myself. If I can confirm them, I'll revisit with the same criteria.
