PuttersTaylorMade PuttersThe zero-torque Spider ZT, the shape-driven Spider TOUR, and the blade-type SYSTM2
Updated: Sep 13, 2026Contains affiliate links
TaylorMade putters come in three lines. The Spider ZT, a "zero-torque" putter whose face angle resists turning, the Spider TOUR, whose character splits by shape, and the SYSTM2 with a milled face. Only the Spider ZT and ZT MAX publish head weight, so I compared the rest by shape and price.

Bottom line: how I'd choose
If you don't want the face to open and close in your stroke, the Spider ZT; if you still worry about off-center hits, the ZT MAX (from ¥66,000).
Golfers who've used a blade for years are different. I wouldn't jump straight to zero-torque, because the look at address changes a lot. As a step in between, the Spider TOUR V TORCHED (¥53,900), with its more forward center of gravity.
If you like a blade or mid-mallet with a milled face, the SYSTM2 (from ¥41,800).
Putters: Spider ZT, Spider TOUR and SYSTM2
| Model | Release date | Shape | Head weight (34 in. standard) | Price (incl. tax) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jun 12, 2026 | Large mallet (zero torque) | 379g | ¥69,300 | |
| Jul 4, 2025 | Mallet (zero torque) | 370g | ¥66,000 | |
| Jun 12, 2026 | Mallet | Not published | ¥53,900 | |
| Mar 27, 2026 | Blade and mid-mallet | Not published | ¥41,800 to ¥46,200 |
The Spider ZT MAX has a head about 25% larger than the ZT, and its center of gravity is deeper at 34mm from the face (25mm on the ZT). It's a putter built on the "zero-torque" idea, where the face angle resists turning during the stroke, and it also appears in the putter article.
Only the Spider ZT and ZT MAX publish head weight. The Spider TOUR TORCHED and SYSTM2 do not.
The Spider TOUR TORCHED splits in character by shape. The V has the most forward center of gravity in the series, for golfers moving over from a blade, and the F is a shape that opens and closes the face more easily.
