Shot Navi LINEA ReviewA red-and-green OLED laser rangefinder that reaches 1,640 yards, released Aug 1, 2025

Updated: Oct 19, 2026Contains affiliate links

Shot Navi LINEA: ¥29,920 incl. tax, 139g, up to 1,640 yards.
Out in Japan since Aug 1, 2025, this red-and-green OLED laser rangefinder reaches farthest of Shot Navi's three newest models, charges fully in about 1.5 hours, and has 3-point measurement.

A rangefinder suits anyone who plays golf. The number for club selection is right in your hand, so you spend less time second-guessing each shot. The Shot Navi LINEA is a very good one. It reaches up to 1,640 yards and charges fully in about 1.5 hours. If you're on the fence, this is a good one to buy.

The Gear Nerd's Pick

If I want room to spare on range, I pick the LINEA. The maximum is 1,640 yards, far beyond the length of any golf hole. With that much headroom, you can get a distance to far-off targets, which widens your choice of aim points. It also charges in about 1.5 hours, the fastest of the three. Forget to charge the night before a round and it still finishes while you get ready in the morning. Accuracy is ±30cm and the display shows 0.1-yard steps. For ¥29,920, the fine detail is hard to believe.

Bottom line

For ¥29,920, take the LINEA if range and charging speed matter. Three-point measurement, Pin Seek, Scan and a tournament mode are all in, and the red-and-green OLED is easy to read. It has the full set of features you expect from a Shot Navi.
If reading speed matters more, the STEADY (0.05 s) costs ¥4,950 less and is the one to look at. LINEA takes 0.1 s. In return you get more range to spare and a quick full charge.

The Gear Nerd's Take: Reading LINEA by the Numbers

The standout is 1,640 yards. STEADY and nano GR+ reach about 1,312 yards, so LINEA goes about 330 yards farther (my math). You will not use that much on a normal round, but it means far targets are less likely to return an error.

Next, charging. About 1.5 hours is less than half of STEADY's roughly 3.5. One full charge covers about 18,000 readings, so you rarely need to top it up.

It weighs 139g, the same as the Bushnell A1 Slope Jolt, and 23g more than STEADY and 29g more than nano GR+. In return, the body is 94×59.5×33 mm and sits comfortably in the hand.

Pin Seek picks out the flag first. Three-point measurement gets you a distance to the target without going to the ball. As a 2025 model, it has the features you need and doesn't leave any out.

Of the 3 models, only LINEA has 1,640 yards of range and a 1.5-hour charge. The gap is ¥4,950 to STEADY and ¥6,380 to nano GR+ (my math).

I'd pick LINEA if you measure far targets or want fewer charging chores. If not, check the numbers in the STEADY review. If weight comes first, read the nano GR+ review.

Can it be used in competition?

LINEA has a tournament mode that switches off the slope (elevation) function. Golf Rule 4.3 allows rangefinders that give distance and does not allow measuring elevation.

Some events ban rangefinders outright under local rules. Check the entry details before you play.

Three things to take away.
The maximum 1,640 yards is the longest of Shot Navi's three newest models.
It charges in about 1.5 hours.
The gap to STEADY is ¥4,950. Decide on whether extra range and faster charging are worth it.

Have you ever forgotten to charge your rangefinder the night before a round?
