This made-in-Japan laser rangefinder came out in October 2025. It is the lightest of Shot Navi's three newest models and fits in your palm at 89×50×31 mm.
A rangefinder suits anyone who plays golf. The number for club selection is right in your hand, so you spend less time second-guessing each shot. The Shot Navi nano GR+ is a very good one. It weighs 110g, reads in 0.05 seconds and is made in Japan. If you're on the fence, this is a good one to buy.

If weight comes first, I pick the nano GR+. At 110g it is the lightest of Shot Navi's three newest models. It weighs 20g less than the Voice Caddie Laser FIT2's 130g and costs ¥1,100 less. It is made in Japan, reads in 0.05 seconds and runs for about 33,000 readings per full charge. For anyone who likes a small, light rangefinder, it is put together properly.

If weight decides it, the nano GR+ settles it. 110g, 0.05 seconds, made in Japan, ¥36,300. Few rangefinders put all four together. It also has Pin Seek, Scan, three-point measurement and a tournament mode, so the feature list is full.
If you want to keep the cost down, the STEADY has the same 0.05 seconds for ¥11,330 less (116g). It is only 6g heavier, so this is a tough call. Decide on one point: do you want to pay ¥36,300 for the lighter body?

Pin Seek picks out the flag first and the unit vibrates when it locks on. Scan measures several targets in a row. Three-point measurement gets you a distance to the target without walking to the ball.
The Gear Nerd's Take: Reading nano GR+ by the Numbers
At 110g, it is the lightest of Shot Navi's three newest models and 29g lighter than LINEA's 139g (my math). For something you carry every round, low weight makes it easier to keep using.
On top of that, it reads in 0.05 seconds. The time from button press to number is short, so you spend less time holding aim. Accuracy is ±30cm, shown in 0.1-yard steps.
One full charge covers about 33,000 readings, the most of Shot Navi's three models. At 50 readings a round, that is 660 rounds (my math). Fitting that much battery into such a light body is impressive.
Being made in Japan is another plus for gear lovers. You can pick black or white.

Here it is beside the STEADY from the same maker and the Voice Caddie Laser FIT2, which is close in weight.

Against the Laser FIT2, the nano GR+ is 20g lighter, ¥1,100 cheaper and measures farther at 1,312 yd (my math). The FIT2 has Ball to Pin, which gives the ball-to-pin distance, so the two lean in different directions.

Can it be used in competition?
The nano GR+ has a tournament mode that switches off the slope (elevation) function. While it is off, the LED on the side glows green. Golf Rule 4.3 allows rangefinders that give distance and does not allow measuring elevation.
